Multi-technical installations and BIM at the core of Constructiv Brussels’ new headquarters

A multi-technical project delivered through one integrated approach

Constructiv, the Belgian construction sector federation, is investing in a new headquarters in the heart of Brussels. The project combines the renovation of existing office buildings with a newly constructed extension, bringing together two buildings on Rue Royale and Rue des Lignes into one integrated whole.

The result will be a contemporary office building with twelve floors, parking facilities and a strong focus on energy efficiency and sustainable materials.

For this project, EEG is responsible for a broad technical scope. Electrical installations, HVAC systems, sanitary installations and ventilation are delivered by different entities within the group, each contributing its own specialised expertise.

This integrated approach ensures that all technical disciplines are aligned from the earliest stages of the project. By keeping the entire technical package within one group, EEG can work efficiently, respond quickly and guarantee a high-quality execution.

BIM as the key to preparation and collaboration

Constructiv is the first project within EEG to feature a dedicated BIM coordinator. This role is essential for the preparation and coordination of the various technical disciplines.

Through BIM, all installations are digitally modelled and coordinated before construction begins. This provides greater project visibility, reduces clashes on site and enables more efficient collaboration between all stakeholders. For a project that combines multiple technologies with both renovation and new construction, this digital preparation is crucial in achieving a high-quality end result.
